India’s urban landscape is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by an escalating urban population projected to swell to 900 million by 2050.
To accommodate this growth, the government has earmarked over $350 billion for urban infrastructure enhancements. Central to these efforts is the Smart Cities Mission, aiming to develop 100 smart cities across the country.
This initiative seeks to foster sustainable urban growth through a blend of government and private sector funding, focusing on improvements in water, sanitation, energy, transport, healthcare, and governance.
